Susan Durrant joined Perrigo in March 2022 and is based at our International HQ in Dublin. Susan is part of our Logistics Centre of Excellence and is our 3PL Warehouse and Logistics Planning Manager.
What is your background and experience, tell us about you! My background is Supply Chain and Logistics. I started in FMCG companies with beverages and then food but moved into Health Care and Pharmaceuticals four years ago and really enjoy the sector.
What attracted you to join Perrigo? The role I was offered was a great opportunity for further progression in my career. I liked that it was a global company and felt from talking to people there was lots of opportunity for cross functional collaboration which I believe is important to the success of any business. While talking to people during the interview process, they were honest that we’re not the finished article! This intrigued me more as I like to find solutions and build things - not just do things because that’s the way they’re always done. My experience so far rings true to this and I've witnessed the support to try new things which is great!
How have you found the experience of starting your new role with a Hybrid working style? I have found the experience good so far, I was lucky that Covid restrictions had just lifted as I started so I have been able to come to the office a few times a week and meet my team in person. I like being around people and think it is very important for building good working relationships, so I am happy not to be working from home full time.
Why would you recommend Perrigo to other potential joiners? I would recommend Perrigo as the people are lovely and very welcoming there is a good culture here. There also seems to be lots of opportunities for growth no matter what department somebody joins.
What is your favourite thing to do outside of work? Outside of work my friends and family are really important to me so I spend as much time with them as possible. I have a 5 year old son so a lot of play time football and Lego but when I get some me time I enjoy Pilates, walking and socialising with friends!
