Amit Bansal started working for Perrigo Michigan three years ago after completing his Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences. Prior to this he had two years industrial experience in India in the development of solid oral dosage forms in generic pharmaceutical companies. His current responsibilities at Perrigo include leading process/product development of registration batches and contributing to the development of new experimental approaches. How has your career progressed since you joined Perrigo? Since I joined Perrigo, I got the opportunity to learn various systems that make Perrigo stand out from other companies. I learned various system-based procedures, research techniques required for product development. I also got the chance to interact with other departments that further hone my communication and professional skills. After working for 3 years under the supervision of current management, I got the confidence to lead the projects with minimal supervision.

What is your career highlight so far? At Perrigo, I got the opportunity to work on numerous products and troubleshoot the problems with the product. Recently, one of the products on dietary supplement (Immune Support) that I worked on has become commercialized. The most important part was the product development and commercialization in the assigned timelines.
